Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Head of Investment & Risk Management to lead our firm's investment strategy, portfolio management, and enterprise-wide risk framework across digital assets and multi-asset trading strategies.
This role is critical in driving capital allocation, portfolio performance, and institutional-grade risk governance. The ideal candidate combines deep experience in portfolio management, trading, and risk leadership, with a proven track record at leading hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, investment banks, or crypto trading firms.
You will play a central role in shaping the firm's investment direction, scaling trading operations, and ensuring disciplined risk management in a fast-evolving global markets environment.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Strategy & Portfolio Management
- Lead the development and execution of proprietary investment and trading strategies across digital assets and other asset classes
- Manage capital allocation and portfolio construction to optimize risk-adjusted returns
- Oversee portfolio performance, exposure management, and strategic positioning
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, inefficiencies, and emerging trends
- Drive disciplined investment decision-making aligned with firm objectives
Risk Management & Governance
- Establish and lead a comprehensive risk management framework across market risk, liquidity risk, counterparty risk, and operational risk
- Define risk limits, capital allocation guidelines, and exposure controls
- Oversee real-time risk monitoring, portfolio risk analytics, and reporting
- Lead stress testing, scenario analysis, and proactive risk mitigation
- Ensure institutional-grade governance, discipline, and risk controls
Trading Oversight & Infrastructure
- Partner with trading, quantitative, and technology teams to optimize trading strategies and execution quality
- Improve trading infrastructure, risk systems, and portfolio analytics capabilities
- Ensure scalability and robustness of trading and risk management processes
Leadership & Strategic Impact
- Build and lead a high-performing investment and risk team
- Establish best-in-class investment processes and governance frameworks
- Work closely with executive leadership to define long-term investment strategy
- Provide strategic insights on market conditions, positioning, and risk outlook
Requirements
- 1015+ years of experience in investment management, trading, or risk management
- Experience at hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, investment banks, market makers, or crypto trading firms
- Proven experience managing proprietary capital or institutional portfolios
- Strong leadership experience managing investment or risk teams
- Experience in digital assets, derivatives, systematic trading, or market making is highly preferred
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong execution capability; Ability to build and scale high-impact teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; Mandarin proficiency is preferred but not mandatory, as the role involves collaboration with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, counterparties, and regional teams
