We are seeking an accomplished Head of Testing to lead our enterprise-wide Performance Testing and Quality Engineering function. This senior leadership role will oversee testing strategy, delivery, governance, performance engineering, and end-to-end delivery across complex banking domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage large team for all Performance Testing & Engineering activities across multiple business domains, ensuring robust performance, resiliency, scalability, and reliability of mission-critical banking systems.
- Define enterprise-level performance testing strategies, standards, and governance frameworks in alignment with SDLC processes, while partnering closely with engineering, DevOps, and architecture teams.
- Oversee the design and execution of performance, capacity, resiliency, and fail-point testing using various tools.
- Drive test data strategy, scalability analysis, workload modelling, and infrastructure-level performance evaluation.
- Manage multi-vendor testing partners and the test delivery team.
- Champion continuous improvement, performance engineering best practices, automation, service virtualization, and cloud-based performance considerations.
- Ensure effective reporting, defect management (JIRA), SLA measurement, and clear communication of performance insights to leadership and delivery teams.
Requirements
- Over 15 years of leadership experience in testing within large and complex organisations.
- Background in financial institutions is advantageous.
- Proven experience leading large teams across automation and performance testing.
- Strong proficiency with a wide range of testing tools and frameworks.
- Expertise in test strategy, QA engineering, and performance testing across multiple platforms.
- Skilled in senior stakeholder engagement and vendor management.
- Well-versed in DevOps practices and quality management frameworks.
