BandLab Technologies is a suite of music-tech companies building tools and services for the next generation of music creators. A division of Singapore-based Caldecott Music Group (CMG), which also owns Vista Musical Instruments and NME Networks, our mission is to break down the technical, geographical, and creative barriers for musicians and fans worldwide.
We're growing steadily and have ambitious plans ahead. We're looking for an experienced people leader to strengthen and scale our People Operations, building solid people foundations across our global company. In this role, you'll work closely with Talent Acquisition and company leadership to develop people programmes, improve processes, and support a high-performing, international team.
We're seeking a hands-on, people-oriented problem-solver pragmatic and savvy, capable of thinking ahead while navigating the realities of a fast-moving organisation.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Administration
- Own and manage global payroll, compensation, employee benefits, HR policies and employment contracts, with a focus on scalability and continuous improvement
- Ensure smooth onboarding, offboarding, and end-to-end employee lifecycle administration
Employee Relations & Performance Management
- Own and continuously improve the performance management framework, including appraisal cycles and performance improvement plans
- Support managers with performance reviews, goal setting, feedback, and development planning
- Act as a trusted point of contact for employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and sensitive cases
Culture & Engagement
- Lead internal events, recognition programs, and cultural initiatives globally, including planning and hands-on execution for a highly distributed team
- Collect employee feedback and translate insights into actionable improvements
Employee Development & Training
- Build and maintain a global employee handbook and employee relations framework
- Develop clear career frameworks and progression paths, with a strong focus on engagement, performance, and retention
- Design, implement, and track training and development programmes across functions, aligned with business priorities
Collaboration with TA & Strategic People Initiatives
- Partner closely with the Talent Acquisition on workforce planning, organisational design, internal mobility, and other shared people initiatives, ensuring a seamless candidate-to-employee experience
- Develop and manage the annual HR budget, and monitor progress and alignment throughout the year
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure all HR practices comply with local labour laws across regions
- Track, analyse, and report on key people and organisational metrics to support leadership decision-making
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 6-8+ years of HR experience, with strong ownership of HR operations and people programmes
- Comprehensive knowledge of Singapore labour law, statutory obligations, and regulatory requirements (MOM, CPF, tax, work passes/visas), capable of developing compliant policies and advising senior management on compliance and risk mitigation
- Experience in a tech start-up or high-growth environment, including designing processes from scratch and working at pace
- Experience working with international, remote, and distributed teams (employees and independent contractors)
- Experience designing and running employee engagement initiatives and internal events for global or distributed teams
- Solid understanding of how talent acquisition, compensation, and benefits intersect in a high-growth environment
- Comfortable working with modern HR tools and systems
- Analytical, outcomes-focused, and able to develop pragmatic, creative solutions
- Strong ability to partner with C-suite leaders and team leads to understand business needs and translate them into people solutions, and workforce strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels
