It started as a department within The Law Society of Singapore and later became Law Society Pro Bono Services. Since 2007, we've expanded our legal initiatives and programs, helping over 150,000 people with legal awareness, guidance, and representation.

In 2022, we renamed as Pro Bono SG (PBSG) to reflect the commitment of everyone in Singapore to our mission of doing good in the community.

Job Description:

PBSG, is seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to join our team as Head of Outreach. This is an executive role that requires strong strategic planning, budgeting skills, and a deep understanding of the legal landscape.

The successful candidate will oversee PBSG's call center operations, legal literacy programmes for the public, legal clinics for individuals, and programs that assist other non-profit organisations with legal advice and corporate transactional representation. This individual will play a pivotal role in the management, strategic development, and oversight of the department's operations, while championing our mission to provide universal access to justice.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Management: Develop and implement departmental strategies in line with PBSG's overarching mission and objectives. Regularly review performance metrics to ensure alignment and address any areas of concern promptly.

2. Operations Oversight: Oversee all operations of the department, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services. This includes managing our call center operations, legal literacy programs, legal clinics, and non-profit assistance programs.

3. Financial Management and Budgeting: Develop and manage the department's annual budget. Regularly review financial reports and adjust budget allocations as necessary to ensure fiscal responsibility and efficiency.

4. Policy Development and Implementation: Develop, recommend, and implement policy changes and improvements that enhance service delivery and adhere to regulatory requirements.

5. Team Leadership: Lead a diverse team of legal professionals and support staff. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages personal growth and collaboration.

6. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders including donors, non-profit organizations, and community leaders to foster partnerships and support for PBSG's initiatives.

7. Program Evaluation and Development: Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of our programs and services, making necessary adjustments and introducing new initiatives as required to meet the changing needs of our clients and community.

Qualifications:

1. LLB, Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent legal qualification.

2. Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the legal field.

3. Proven experience in strategic planning, operations management, and team leadership.

4. Solid understanding of financial management and budgeting in a non-profit context.

5. Deep understanding of the legal challenges faced by individuals and non-profit organizations.

6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

7. Strong commitment to PBSG's mission of promoting access to justice for all.
