Overview
We are seeking a Head of Operations to lead operational strategy and execution at the parent company of a rapidly growing digital banking platform. The individual will play a critical role in building and scaling operational infrastructure, expanding banking and financial institution relationships, and ensuring the organization operates efficiently as it grows. This role requires a strategic operator who can both design processes and lead teams responsible for executing them.
Key Responsibilities
Banking & Financial Institution Relationships
. Develop and manage relationships with banking partners, correspondent banks, and financial service providers.
. Identify and onboard new banking relationships to support the company's growth and product expansion.
. Coordinate operational integration with partner banks, including payments, settlement, and treasury processes.
Operational Infrastructure & Process Development
. Design and implement internal operational processes, particularly for client onboarding, compliance workflows, and operational controls.
. Build scalable frameworks for payments processing, reconciliation, and financial operations.
. Establish operational policies, documentation, and procedures to support regulatory compliance and operational resilience.
Payments, Reconciliation & Treasury Operations
. Oversee operational workflows related to payments, settlements, and transaction monitoring.
. Develop reconciliation processes across banking partners, payment rails, and internal ledgers.
. Work closely with finance and treasury functions to ensure accurate cash management and reporting.
Team Building & Leadership
. Recruit, hire, and develop high-performing operations and treasury teams.
. Build organizational structure and operating cadence to support scaling operations.
. Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Strategic Leadership
. Serve as a key member of the executive team, contributing to overall company strategy.
. Translate strategic objectives into operational execution plans.
. Provide guidance on operational risk, scalability, and long-term infrastructure needs.
Qualifications
. 8-15+ years of experience in banking, fintech or tech, or financial services operations.
. Experience working with bank partnerships, payment infrastructure, or treasury operations.
. Demonstrated ability to build and scale operational processes in a high-growth environment.
. Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.
. Strategic thinker with the ability to operate hands-on when necessary.
Preferred
. Experience in digital banking, payments, or embedded finance.
. Familiarity with cross-border payments, treasury management, or banking infrastructure.
