About this role

This is a full-time on-site role, based in Singapore, for a Head of Operations (Logistics). The Head of Operations will oversee and optimize day-to-day logistics operations, including supply chain and distribution processes. Responsibilities include managing logistics strategies, ensuring operational efficiency, monitoring key performance metrics, and fostering continuous improvement. The role also involves leading and mentoring teams, implementing cost-effective practices, coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders, and contributing to overall business growth.

Job description

  • Oversee the company's full logistics (land transport), warehouse operations, acting as the primary liaison with service providers and suppliers.
  • Lead and manage a team of Operations Manager to ensure efficient and timely operations.
  • Organize and scale the logistics team to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Implement and uphold policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve cost-effective performance.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to drive service provider performance and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure logistics operations meet delivery standards and implement effective inventory control methods.
  • Maintain accountability for inventory accuracy and condition, supported by regular reports and performance analysis.
  • Review invoices for accuracy and compliance with agreed rates, tariffs, and customs regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to domestic and international shipping laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Optimize logistics workflows, asset utilization, and warehouse space planning.
  • Ensure high order accuracy and fulfillment quality.
  • Taking charge of entire logistics operations not limited to haulage and land transport operations.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Operations Management and experience in optimizing logistics processes
  • Excellent Analytical Skills to assess, interpret, and improve operational efficiency
  • Proven ability in Team Management, including leadership and staff development
  • Exceptional Communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams and presenting solutions
  • Expertise in Budgeting to manage costs and allocate resources effectively
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs
  • Previous experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is highly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline
