Job Description

• Provide end-to-end oversight of market risk activities, including exposure monitoring, P&L reporting, limit utilisation, and trading control processes, ensuring accurate and timely visibility of trading risks.
• Engage closely with front-office stakeholders to provide independent challenge and guidance on trading strategies, positions, and risk exposures, particularly across LNG and gas markets.
• Supervise credit risk coverage including counterparty assessment, exposure management, and risk mitigation strategies, ensuring alignment with defined risk appetite.
• Drive adherence to trading policies, delegated authorities, and internal controls, while identifying opportunities to enhance processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.
• Manage and mentor a team of risk professionals in Singapore, fostering strong technical capability, collaboration, and alignment with global risk functions.

The Successful Applicant

• Minimum 15 years of experience within commodity trading risk, with a strong emphasis on market risk in energy trading environments.
• Demonstrated experience within LNG and/or gas markets, with a solid understanding of trading dynamics and risk drivers
• Proven track record of leading and developing teams, ideally within a trading or commodities environment
• Strong technical understanding of market risk frameworks, including exposures, P&L, limits, and trading controls
• Ability to engage, influence, and challenge stakeholders across front office, middle office, and back office within a complex and fast-paced trading setup.
