Head of IT Transformation

Overview
A leading bank is seeking a Head of IT Transformation to drive enterprise-wide technology transformation and execute the bank's strategic IT roadmap. This role will lead major modernization initiatives, strengthen IT governance, and enhance operational capabilities to support business growth and innovation.

We are particularly interested in candidates with prior experience in top management consulting firms who have led large-scale transformation programs for financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities

IT Strategy & Transformation

• Drive the execution of the bank's IT and digital transformation strategy, aligned with business and regulatory priorities.

• Lead large-scale technology modernization initiatives, including core systems and digital platforms.

• Oversee the IT Transformation portfolio, including prioritization of initiatives, resource planning, and budget management.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

• Ensure transformation initiatives meet regulatory, cybersecurity, and risk management requirements.

• Establish strong IT governance and change management frameworks.

Technology & Operations Leadership

• Provide oversight across IT operations, enterprise architecture, and technology standards to ensure secure and scalable platforms.

• Drive improvements in efficiency, resilience, and technology innovation.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Partner closely with senior stakeholders across business, risk, compliance, and operations.

• Manage strategic vendor relationships and technology partnerships.

• Report transformation progress, risks, and outcomes to executive leadership.

Team Leadership

• Lead and develop high-performing transformation and technology teams.

• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in technology leadership, transformation, or consulting roles.

• Prior experience in a top-tier management consulting firm (e.g., strategy or technology consulting) with strong exposure to financial services transformation programs.

• Proven track record leading large-scale IT or digital transformation initiatives.

• Strong understanding of banking regulations, cybersecurity, and risk frameworks.

• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
