Head of Investor Sales, Asia

About the Role
An international financial institution is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Head of Investor Sales, Asia to lead its regional investor sales franchise. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for expanding relationships with institutional investors, driving revenue growth across fixed income and FX products, and building a high-performing sales team across the region.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record in Financial Institutions (FI) or Institutional Investor Sales, extensive buy-side relationships across Asia, and deep expertise in fixed income, foreign exchange, and capital markets products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the regional business strategy for institutional investor clients across Asia.
• Expand and manage relationships with asset managers, hedge funds, banks, supranational institutions, and corporates.
• Drive revenue growth across fixed income, FX, and structured products platforms.
• Lead and develop a team of investor sales professionals, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven culture.
• Grow the firm's RMB and China-related capital markets business with institutional investors.
• Promote adoption of electronic trading solutions and increase client engagement across digital execution channels.
• Partner closely with Trading, Structuring, Debt Capital Markets (DCM), and Coverage teams to deliver integrated client solutions and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Provide market insights and strategic solutions tailored to clients investment objectives and risk profiles.
• Ensure the highest standards of client service while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.

Products Covered
The role will focus on a broad range of products including:

• Asian, African and CIS fixed income products
• G10 and Emerging Market FX
• Cash bonds and repos
• Structured solutions including Credit Linked Notes (CLNs), Total Return Swaps (TRS), and other approved products
• RMB and China market-related investment opportunities

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in institutional investor sales, financial institutions coverage, or capital markets sales.
• Established network among institutional investors across Asia, including asset managers, hedge funds, and banking clients.
• Strong knowledge of fixed income, foreign exchange, and structured products.
• Demonstrated success in originating business, growing revenues, and managing senior client relationships.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams.
• Strong understanding of RMB products and China capital markets is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic trading platforms and execution solutions.
• Strong regulatory awareness and commitment to compliance and risk management standards.
