We are representing a boutique, multi-family office that manages discretionary portfolios for ultra-high-net-worth clients across Asia. The firm is seeking a Head of Investment / CIO to lead its investment function, drive portfolio performance, and help shape the next stage of its growth.

This is a front-office role with real influence — ideal for a proven investment professional who thrives in a flat, entrepreneurial environment and wants full ownership of multi-asset portfolios and performance outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discretionary and advisory portfolios across equities, fixed income, and multi-asset strategies, with accountability for performance and risk management.
• Develop and execute investment strategy, asset allocation, and portfolio construction in line with client objectives.
• Conduct deep market and fund research; generate actionable investment ideas and manage implementation.
• Act as the investment lead in client discussions, articulating portfolio rationale, market outlook, and strategy with confidence and clarity.
• Partner closely with client advisors and internal stakeholders to deliver personalized proposals and portfolio reviews.
• Oversee the firm's model portfolios and internal funds, serving as a reference for client portfolios.
• Continuously enhance investment processes, analytics, and governance frameworks to support scalability.

Requirements

• 8–15 years of relevant experience across private banking, asset management, or institutional portfolios.
• Strong foundation in equity and multi-asset portfolio construction, with a consistent track record of owning and delivering investment performance.
• Experience in a boutique or lean setup preferred; hands-on, self-driven, and comfortable leading from the front.
• Excellent communication skills; fluent in English and Mandarin to liaise with Greater China / UHNW clients.
• CFA or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
