WHAT COULD INPATIENT PHARMACY LOOK LIKE IN A NEW HOSPITAL
We are looking for an experienced Head of Inpatient Pharmacy to lead the development and delivery of inpatient pharmacy services at Tengah General and Community Hospital.
As we prepare for a new hospital, this is an opportunity to establish safe, efficient and patient-centred inpatient pharmacy operations from the start — bringing together people, processes and technology to support seamless medication use across the inpatient journey.
You will:
Lead inpatient pharmacy operations
Oversee medication order processing, verification, preparation and supply, while ensuring safe and timely medication delivery to our patients.
Optimise the inpatient medication journey
Review workflows to improve efficiency, prevent errors and minimise delays
Champion medication safety
Lead medication safety initiatives, investigate medication-related incidents and drive corrective and preventive measures.
Harness technology to support practice
Oversee the implementation and effective use of inpatient pharmacy systems, including automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs), to support safe and efficient medication management.
Lead and grow the team
Plan manpower, mentor staff and establish training programmes that enable our pharmacists and pharmacy team to perform at their best.
Partner across the care team
Work closely with nursing and other healthcare teams to improve medication administration processes and the overall patient experience.
Who are we looking for
Principal Pharmacist (P15) and above, with relevant hospital pharmacy experience and a strong track record in operational leadership, sound clinical judgement and a passion for continuous improvement.
If you are excited by the opportunity to lead a new inpatient pharmacy service and set the standards from the beginning, we would love to hear from you.
