Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of IT to lead the development, integration, and management of core banking and digital platforms in our fast-growing company. This role is pivotal in driving innovation, ensuring system reliability, and delivering seamless digital experiences across internet and mobile banking channels. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and a strategic mindset to oversee a diverse portfolio of applications and teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development and lifecycle management of IT applications including core banking, digital channels, and enterprise systems.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of internet banking and mobile banking applications.
- Manage and mentor a high-performing team of developers, architects, and application managers.
- Drive the adoption of cloud-native solutions and ensure scalable, secure, and resilient architectures.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to align IT application strategies with business goals.
- Ensure seamless integration of systems using Open APIs and microservices architecture.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal security standards.
- Manage external IT vendors, contractors, and outsourcing partners to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness. Ensure adherence to MAS procurement and outsourcing guidelines.
- Drive innovation in application architecture and development to support new business models and customer experiences.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies to maintain competitive advantage.
- Develop and manage the IT applications budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Establish IT governance, policies, and procedures aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 15 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong experience with core banking system.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and cloud-native application development.
- Hands-on experience with internet and mobile banking platforms.
- Strong project management skills and experience with Agile methodologies.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, regulated, and innovation-driven environment.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
