YOUR HIGH-IMPACT, PURPOSE-BUILT ROLE

Burson seeks a strong and inspiring Influence and Social lead, based in Singapore, to shape the strategic direction, development, and operational excellence of this craft across APAC.

This leader will be responsible for supporting and shaping the vision for this service area, contributing to the development and delivery of effective client solutions, and fostering a culture of excellence that delivers measurable business impact. This individual will bring a solid understanding of the evolving and complex social media and communications landscape in APAC, an ability to anticipate client needs and develop practical, impactful solutions.

You'll be responsible for Burson's influencer and social strategy across APAC, supporting go-to-market initiatives, advising clients, contributing to pitches, and helping oversee delivery across multiple markets. You'll work within a multi-disciplinary, regional team (social media, creative, strategy, data and intelligence and communications) and help implement operating models, toolsets, and frameworks that enable markets to deliver client work consistently, efficiently, and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

The Head of Influence & Social, APAC will be responsible for leading the development of Burson's social and influence offering across the APAC region, focusing on growth, operational excellence and consistency, and in-market team enablement. This will be achieved through three core pillars – Grow, Enable, Transform.

Commercialise / Grow

  • Drive new business and organic growth across APAC
  • Contribute to regional influence and social strategy
  • Strengthen Burson's market positioning through thought leadership
  • Curate and showcase best-in-class work across markets
  • Develop marketing assets to support business development
  • Elevate the quality of influencer-led campaigns regionally
  • Embed influence and social across Consumer, Corporate, B2B, and Healthcare

Enable

  • Roll out Cultural Flow across APAC, supported by training and reinforcement
  • Establish feedback loops to enable cross-market learning
  • Support capability building across trends, strategy, and AI
  • Advance scalable AI integration into offerings
  • Drive adoption of WPP Open tools
  • Strengthen relationships with key platforms (e.g., TikTok, Meta)
  • Embed best practices, processes, and operational consistency
  • Support CreatorIQ adoption and continuous improvement
  • Enable cross-market collaboration within APAC and globally

Transform

  • Act as a key APAC contact for WPP influence and social initiatives
  • Align with global frameworks, adapting for APAC markets
  • Identify scalable innovation and AI opportunities
  • Tailor influencer offerings to local market relevance
  • Track emerging trends, platforms, and cultural shifts
  • Advance practical, scalable measurement frameworks
  • Identify whitespace and growth opportunities
  • Contribute to global future of social and influence initiatives
