HR Director | Regional Remit

The Frazer Jones team is pleased to be exclusively partnering with a fast-growing Pre-Series C startup to appoint a HR Director. This is a high-impact leadership role that will shape the future of HR across the company, aimed at driving transformation, employee engagement, and operational excellence to purposefully support the company's rapid growth and category expansion.

This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Singapore. The company is scaling quickly across Asia, with a lean but growing workforce and a highly dynamic, entrepreneurial culture. You will lead a nimble HR team and play a pivotal role in building scalable people practices alongside with the co-founder and the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

As the go-to expert for all HR matters, you will assume full ownership of the HR strategy, encompassing Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, Learning and Development, Compensation & Benefits, HRIS and Payroll. Leading a highly collaborative and agile HR team, this role will focus on building a high-performance culture where HR is a strategic partner to the business, enabling operational efficiency and supporting expansion into new categories and markets.

A critical aspect of your role is to gain a deep understanding of the business, thereby effectively supporting the growth strategy through workforce planning, succession planning, talent pipelining, and optimization of HR processes. You will be the champion for culture across a geographically and culturally diverse workforce, ensuring that employees feel engaged, supported, and motivated to contribute meaningfully. Governance and compliance will be central to your remit, and you will lead your team to ensure that all HR processes adhere to regulatory standards and internal policies.

Ideal Profile

The client requires a strategic and hands-on HR leader with a proven track record in scaling HR functions within high-growth environments. Experience in startups or scale-ups in the Consumer Goods, Technology (including SaaS) sectors is highly advantageous. As a guideline, you should have at least 10-12 years of HR Generalist/HRBP experience, ideally in organizations undergoing rapid growth or transformation, and prior experience leading the HR function.

Experience in leading change management, process transformation, and building HR infrastructure from the ground up is essential, as is a solid understanding of HR systems and data analytics. The successful candidate will hold a relevant degree and demonstrate a genuine passion for purpose-driven work, with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. Equally important is the ability to build trust, navigate complex interpersonal dynamics, and foster a culture of empathy, inclusion, and collaboration.
