Your Role

This role is pivotal in leading comprehensive HR functions, enhancing organisational effectiveness, and supporting business expansion. It involves creating and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs that cultivate a positive, high-performing workplace culture for our smart factory in Singapore, particularly in manufacturing R&D.

Key Responsibilities

HR Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute HR strategies, policies, and frameworks in alignment with organisational objectives, while ensuring compliance with Singapore employment laws.
  • Provide counsel and actively collaborate with leadership on workforce planning, organizational structure, and change management initiatives.
  • Address ad-hoc HR issues and collaborate with the HQ HR Division and the local HR Coordinator in Singapore to make informed decisions.

People & Organisational Development

  • Oversee the organisational structure, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Promote employee engagement, performance management, and cultural programs.
  • Lead learning and development efforts to enhance workforce capabilities.
  • Manage initiatives focused on employee recognition, well-being, and retention strategies.

HR Business Partnering & Operations

  • Handle employee relations, grievances, disciplinary actions, and compliance matters.
  • Supervise HR information systems, data reporting, and policy documentation processes.
  • Establish and manage compensation frameworks, conduct salary reviews, and oversee incentive programs.
  • Ensure the efficiency of onboarding, offboarding, and internal mobility procedures.
  • Oversee payroll, employee benefits, and insurance management.

Talent Acquisition

  • Direct the talent acquisition strategy and ensure the effectiveness of hiring processes.
  • Enhance employer branding and manage recruitment campaigns, including career fairs and collaborations with academic institutions.
  • Work alongside leadership to anticipate workforce needs and develop talent pipelines.

Global HR Policy Development & Localisation

  • Oversee international assignments and related mobility policies.
  • Adapt HR policies to comply with local legislation and practices.
  • Communicate and train leadership and employees on policy awareness and adherence.
  • Facilitate adoption through change management and cultural integration efforts.
  • Serve as a liaison between HQ and the subsidiary to report on policy gaps.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum 10 years of demonstrated HR leadership experience, preferably within multinational companies.
  • Strong understanding of HR strategy, Singapore labour laws, compensation practices, and organisational development.
  • Proven ability to lead various HR functions while engaging senior leaders effectively.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Committed to diversity and inclusion.
  • Familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors or other HRIS systems is an advantage.
  • Experience in IT, manufacturing, or finance sectors is preferred.
  • A keen interest in the automotive sector and software-defined factories.
  • A collaborative approach with experience working with international coordinators.
