Job Description
Role Summary
As Head of HR for Facilities, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), and Security, you will partner with senior functional leaders to translate business priorities into an integrated people and organisation strategy. You will act as a trusted adviser on organisational effectiveness, workforce planning, leadership, talent, performance, culture and change across a complex, global and operationally critical group function.
Working closely with People Centres of Excellence, regional HR teams, and specialist partners, you will deliver pragmatic, insight-led solutions that strengthen capability, improve organisational performance and support safe, secure, and sustainable operations.
Key Responsibilities
. Act as strategic people partner to senior Facilities, HSE and Security leaders, translating functional strategy, operational priorities and risk requirements into a clear people and organisation plan.
. Lead strategic workforce planning, assessing capacity, capability, location, cost, and future skills to inform organisation and talent decisions.
. Shape organisation design and effectiveness, ensuring structures, accountabilities, spans, layers, governance, and ways of working enable efficient global delivery.
. Partner with leaders on succession, talent, leadership development, performance, and critical-role pipelines to strengthen capability and reduce operational risk.
. Coach and challenge senior leaders to improve leadership, team performance, inclusion, and accountability, while advising on complex employee relations, conduct and sensitive leadership matters.
. Lead the people aspects of transformation, restructuring and change, including impact assessment, consultation, communication, implementation, and adoption.
. Use workforce analytics, organisational insights and employee listening data to anticipate risks and guide decisions on headcount, capability, engagement, retention, and productivity.
. Partner with People Centres of Excellence, regional HR, Legal, HSE and specialist teams to deliver integrated solutions, consistent employee experiences, and sound people governance across geographies.
Basic Qualifications
. Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
. 8+years of progressive Human Resources experience, including substantial HR Business Partnering experience supporting senior leaders.
. Experience developing and delivering people strategies in a complex, matrixed, and multi-country organisation.
. Demonstrated experience in organisational design, workforce planning, talent management, performance, and change delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
. 10+years of Human Resources experience, with a track record as a senior HR Business Partner in a global, operationally complex, or fast-paced organisation.
. Experience supporting Facilities, HSE, Security, Property, Corporate Services, Operations, or another safety- and risk-critical function.
. Strong commercial and operational acumen, with the ability to connect people priorities to service delivery, risk management, cost, productivity, and business outcomes.
. Proven success leading organisation transformation, restructuring and complex change across multiple geographies and stakeholder groups.
. Deep capability in organisation design, strategic workforce planning, succession, leadership development, and talent management.
. Strong consulting, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively and coach senior leaders.
. Sound judgement and discretion in handling complex employee, organisational and leadership matters.
. Strong analytical capability and experience using workforce data and insights to build a clear narrative, identify risks and guide decisions.
. Excellent written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex issues for senior and non-specialist audiences.
. Collaborative, resilient and adaptable, with the ability to operate effectively through ambiguity, competing priorities, and continuous change.
