The Head of Hair & Product will lead the strategy, innovation, and execution of the company's haircare and related product portfolio. This role is responsible for driving product development, ensuring market relevance, and delivering high-quality offerings that strengthen brand positioning. The ideal candidate will combine deep industry knowledge with a strong sense of consumer trends, creativity, and commercial acumen.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and own the overall product strategy for the hair category, aligned with company vision and growth objectives.
- Lead and manage a cross-functional product team (R&D, marketing, supply chain, retail/wholesale partners).
- Identify emerging trends, technologies, and consumer needs in the haircare industry to shape product innovation.
- Build strong vendor and supplier relationships to ensure high-quality sourcing and cost efficiency.
Product Development & Innovation
- Oversee end-to-end product lifecycle: ideation, formulation, testing, regulatory approval, launch, and post-launch review.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and cosmetic regulatory standards.
- Champion sustainable and ethical product development practices.
- Work closely with R&D and brand marketing to create products that resonate with target audiences.
Business & Commercial
- Develop business cases for new product initiatives, including pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategies.
- Monitor sales, margin, and category performance to optimize the product mix.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure successful launches and promotional campaigns.
- Manage product budgets, forecasting, and cost control.

Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Cosmetic Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 8+ years experience in product development, brand management, or category leadership within beauty, cosmetics, or haircare.
- Proven track record of successful product launches and category growth.
- Strong understanding of consumer insights, trends, and competitive landscape.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with commercial acumen and P&L experience.
