Job Summary
- Ensuring the qualification of Malaysia factory in compliance with SEMI and ISO standards.
- Driving design for quality and manufacturability.
- Securing the necessary product certifications for all newly developed products and those transferred from China to Malaysia. These certifications include SEMI, CE, ASME, UL, TUV, and other relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process & Laboratory Management
- Establish and implement R&D process management to solve systemic issues.
- Lead/develop engineering team on the design of experiments, lab setup for component testing, verify experimental data, and ensure the accuracy of laboratory reports.
- Confirm testing projects and results before pilot sample shipments.
- Coordinate communication between departments to ensure smooth project execution.
- Work closely with Gas box R&D team on product development projects and processes
2. Product Development & Project Management
- Lead new product development, including feasibility studies, design, and solution proposals for component technology
- Drive documentation and process development/improvements for existing and new products (assembly drawings, BOMs, and process flow diagrams)
- Coordinate with product packaging team according to product characteristics and customer requirements, verify and occupy the master reference position.
- Develop models and templates based on relevant standards, regulations, and type-approval requirements.
- Drive Plan and control project timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
- Optimize product designs based on customer feedback and process improvements.
- Act as the primary owner when prototypes or trial samples are unavailable, taking full accountability for project progress.
3.Technical Support & Cross-Department Collaboration
- Provide technical support to Sales, Production, and Process Engineering teams.
- Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues during project execution.
4. Process & Quality Control
- Lead the development and validation of new production processes.
- Assist in procurement by reviewing and following up on material requirements lists (MRLs).
Education / Experience / Languages:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in product development, preferably in pressure control or valve manufacturing.
- Proficiency in CAD software, BOM management, and process documentation.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
