  • Conduct deep dives into categories, markets, channels, and cost lines to highlight trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure all analytical outputs follow Group definitions and financial reporting frameworks.
  • Own the end-to-end competitor and peer benchmarking process, including collection, consolidation, and analysis of historical external financial performance.
  • Produce regular insight reports and analysis comparing Dyson statutory results against key peers, including structured assessments such as SWOT, category and margin comparisons, and cost competitiveness insights.
  • Finance Business Intelligence & Dashboard Ownership
  • Own and continuously enhance the Group's Tableau dashboards and financial reporting tools, relied upon globally by finance and commercial teams.
  • Ensure dashboards remain robust, intuitive, and aligned with Group strategic priorities and financial reporting needs, including updates on the Management and Statutory Accounting Policy.
  • Lead improvements in visualisation quality, KPI consistency, and user experience across Tableau assets.
  • Translate finance and business questions into dashboard enhancements and analytical solutions that improve decision-making.
  • Leverage Tableau to automate manual reporting processes and deliver deeper, more insightful analytics for complex financial performance areas.
  • Govern and maintain the Group Finance data access controls policy, ensuring appropriate, secure, and compliant user access to Group financial data and reporting.
  • Partner with Finance Systems and Data teams to uphold strong data governance and data integrity.
  • Advancing Financial Analytics: BI AI
  • Lead the transformation of financial analytics toward AI-enabled reporting and insights, including early-stage pilots such as automated insights, anomaly detection, and enhanced analytical automation.
  • Identify, prioritise, and deliver opportunities to streamline and enhance analysis, reporting, and insight generation using advanced analytics, LLMs, and machine learning techniques.
  • Shape the context engineering, prompt engineering, and data structures required to enable reliable, finance-grade outputs from AI and LLM models.
  • Define the long-term AI roadmap for Group performance analysis, including automated insights, anomaly detection, forecasting enhancement, and intelligent narrative generation.
  • Ensure AI-enabled tools and solutions meet governance, control, and data integrity standards and are embedded into a scalable operating model.
  • Team Leadership & Capability Building
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a medium-sized team of BI and Financial Analysts.
  • Build a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.

  • Work with IT, Data Scientists, and enterprise analytics teams to co-develop enhanced BI solutions, strengthen data foundations, and integrate AI and LLM capabilities into financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ensure analysis and dashboards meet evolving business needs and support strategic priorities.
  • Promote awareness, understanding, and adoption of dashboards and automated reports across global finance and commercial teams.
  • Provide user training, education, and guidance to help teams fully leverage available analytics tools.
  • Communicate insights clearly and concisely to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with Group Reporting, FP&A, Market Finance, and Category Finance to ensure aligned interpretation of financial performance.
