The Regional Head of Finance, Asia (SI B) will act as a financial advisor and business partner to the Head of Asia Zone and is responsible for driving strategic growth, operational excellence, optimization, and overall results of the assigned geographic zone, which encompasses 5 Lead countries (CN, IN, SG, AU, KR). This leadership role oversees the performance management and development of Lead country finance leadership teams, while also setting the vision and direction for the zone to achieve ambitious business objectives.
You'll make a difference in:
1. Leadership & Team Management
. Leads and manages a high-performing team of LCB Finance Heads across a Zone, ensuring strategic execution and providing strategic coaching and direction, feedback, and development opportunities to drive results
. Oversees Zone-wide finance workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning
. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the zone
. Ensures that LCB Finance teams remain agile, adapting to changing market conditions and customer needs
. Supports driving of operational excellence through data-driven decision-making and performance management
. Initiates, drives, implements, and monitors productivity programs to continuously improve profitability and competitiveness through harmonization, optimization and digitalization
2. Sales Strategy & Execution
. In collaboration with the Zone Head:
. translates the global SI B vision into a Zone-specific multi-year strategy plan to grow the business across the Asia zone, setting ambitious yet achievable goals
. Oversee the development and execution of LCB-level business plans, ensuring alignment with market needs
. Oversee the operational management of the zone, ensuring efficient use of resources and identifying opportunities for improvement, and drive results
. Monitors and optimizes pipeline management, revenue and order intake growth, market share and risk mitigation within the Zone
3. Business & Financial Management
. Directs the Zone's revenue and order intake, profitability, and financial forecasting ensuring sustainable growth
. Oversees Zone-level budgeting, investment allocation, and resource planning for all LCBs within the Zone
. Improve key performance indicators and metrics, analyzing data to inform decision-making and drive performance optimization including risk management and early warning
. Supports Zone Head on Zone-level sales structure, investment allocation, and pricing models
. Oversee compliance of all LCBs within the Zone with regulatory, legal, and commercial risk management frameworks
. Supports regular reviews of key strategic accounts and large-scale pursuits to ensure effective resource allocation
. As a strong commercial leader, develops long- and short-term business/financial strategies that will grow and develop the business in line with the global SI B targets and expectations
4. Customer interaction
. Acts as company representative and liaison to customers and local authorities building and maintaining successful relationships to sustain positive Siemens/SI B image
5. Internal Collaboration
. Serve as the primary interface between Lead countries finance operations and global leadership, effectively communicating progress, challenges, and recommendations
. Ensure cross-functional collaboration between sales, product, operations, finance and marketing teams
. Ensures best practice sharing across LCBs to optimize finance and logistic related processes
. Drives consistent and sustainable transformation to ensure long-term sustainability of the organization together with Zone Head
You're excited to build on your existing expertise, including:
. Minimum 10 years of experience in managing a business with P&L responsibility
. progressive leadership experience in a multi-country, regional role, preferably within buildings industry, strategic mindset
. Proven track record of driving business growth, operational excellence, and high-performing team development
. Excellent commercial, oral, and written communication skills
. The ability to understand and articulate information to multiple collaborators is required in a fast paced and often dynamic work environment
. Rich experience in both project / system and product business, covering bidding / offering/contracting / execution / warranty / close phases.
. High level of business experience and acumen besides being proficient in Finance, Accounting, Reporting, Tax, Closing, Auditing, Controlling and Performance Management topics including Profound understanding of IFRS, internal business processes, different business models and cross border activities.
. Ability to work closely with all disciplines within the business and to rapidly build a high level of acceptance as the key advisor for all financial related topics
. Strong leadership culture, sensitive and mindful of the work culture and Asian environment
. Fluency in English
. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field advanced degree preferred
