Our client is a privately held real estate investment and asset management platform with a strong track record in identifying and enhancing prime urban assets.The firm has a strong and sizeable portfolio held across structured investment vehicles and special purpose entities. To support the growing business needs, we are supporting the client to hire a seasoned Head of Finance to lead the Finance function.
TheHead of Finance will assume full leadership of the finance function across the management company and its associated investment vehicles. This role encompasses financial control, fund operations, capital management, regulatory oversight and strategic advisory responsibilities.
The position requires a technically strong and commercially astute finance leader who is comfortable operating in a lean environment while building scalable processes to support growth. The CFO will serve as a key partner to the Founder and investment team, providing financial insight to support acquisition decisions, capital structuring and portfolio strategy.
This is a highly visible leadership role with direct exposure to investors, lenders, board members and professional advisors.
Core Responsibilities1. Financial Leadership & Control
- Oversee all accounting, consolidation and financial reporting activities across the management entity and investment structures
- Ensure timely preparation of monthly management accounts, quarterly reporting packs and annual audited financial statements in compliance with SFRS / IFRS
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls, accounting policies and financial governance frameworks
- Drive annual budgeting and multi-year forecasting processes across entities
- Deliver performance analysis, variance reporting and cash flow projections to support strategic decision-making
- Oversee NAV calculations, investor reporting and performance disclosures
2. Fund & Investment Operations
- Support the structuring, launch and ongoing administration of real estate funds and SPVs
- Oversee capital call processes, investor distributions, fee calculations and waterfall mechanics
- Partner closely with the investment team on financial modelling, deal structuring, acquisition analysis and exit planning
- Review transaction documentation from a financial and tax perspective
- Manage relationships with fund administrators, custodians, valuers, auditors and tax advisors
- Ensure operational processes are scalable to support future fundraising initiatives
3. Treasury, Capital & Financing
- Lead liquidity management and optimise cash deployment across entities
- Manage banking relationships and negotiate financing terms where required
- Oversee debt facilities, covenant compliance and refinancing processes
- Evaluate capital structure strategies to support portfolio growth and risk optimisation
- Implement risk monitoring processes across funding arrangements
4. Compliance, Tax & Governance
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks governing investment management entities
- Oversee statutory filings, regulatory submissions and corporate secretarial matters
- Coordinate tax structuring and compliance across entities and jurisdictions
- Support board governance processes, including preparation of board and investment committee materials
- Maintain transparent and proactive communication with regulators, investors and external stakeholders
5. Strategic Partnership & Leadership
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Founder and senior leadership team on financial, operational and capital matters
- Provide strategic input on fundraising, portfolio expansion and new business initiatives
- Lead, mentor and develop the finance team (including oversight of outsourced providers where relevant)
- Strengthen finance infrastructure, systems and reporting processes to support long-term scalability
- Contribute to organisational development and operational excellence initiatives
Candidate Profile Qualifications & Experience- Professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Minimum 1015 years of progressive experience within real estate investment, private equity, fund management or investment platforms
- Strong knowledge of fund structures, SPVs, capital flows and real estate investment accounting
- Experience managing consolidated structures and cross-entity reporting
- Proven exposure to lenders, auditors, regulators and institutional investors
- Experience within a growth-oriented or entrepreneurial platform is advantageous
