Head of Finance (Asset Servicing), Singapore

Description

Our client is an established global Asset Servicing financial institution with a significant international presence and a growing platform in Singapore. To support its continued development and transformation, the organisation is recruiting an experienced Head of Finance to lead its Singapore finance function.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Local General Manager and the Global Head of Finance and working closely with local and Head Office stakeholders, you will lead the Accounting, Reporting and Change team and oversee all regulatory, statutory, tax and Head Office reporting for the Singapore entities. You will serve as the principal finance contact for local regulators and external auditors, while acting as a subject matter expert and trusted business partner to the Executive Committee and other key stakeholders. You will oversee financial control, capital and tax monitoring, budgeting, forecasting and preparation of the local business plan. Managing the day-to-day finance operations, you will ensure the timely and accurate completion of monthly closing, general ledger reporting, balance sheet substantiation, consolidation packages, regulatory surveys, financial statements and tax submissions. You will also lead the year-end audit, strengthen internal controls, drive accounting-system changes and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency while maintaining robust governance. As a member of the local leadership team, you will further develop Finance's business-partnering capabilities and support the organisation's strategic and transformation objectives.

Qualifications

Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance, you possess approximately 12-15 years of relevant experience within an Asset Servicing, Custodian, Fund Administration or similarly regulated financial institution, encompassing financial management, accounting, budgeting & forecasting, regulatory reporting and compliance. A recognised professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA or CIMA would be advantageous. You have a proven track record of leading finance teams or major projects and are comfortable engaging regulators, auditors, senior executives and Head Office stakeholders. Familiarity with financial software and ERP platforms is expected, together with advanced Excel capabilities. Knowledge of VBA or SAS would be an advantage. You are analytical, detail-oriented and commercially minded, with strong project management, change leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
