Head of Department (Shipbuilding)

Responsibilities

• Lead shipbuilding project execution and oversee cross-functional teams, including EDC, Procurement, E&C, and Production.

• Oversee project managers and ensure effective delivery of contracted projects.

• Manage project contracts, technical specifications, schedules, budgets, quality, and safety.

• Develop, approve, and implement Project Management Plans (PMP), from project start-up through completion and warranty closure.

• Ensure projects meet client expectations, contractual requirements, safety standards, and company policies.

• Establish and lead competent project teams to ensure effective project execution.

• Maintain strong customer relationships and manage stakeholder expectations.

• Ensure timely project reporting, documentation, and compliance with management processes.

• Lead project reviews, capture lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement.

• Mentor and develop project managers, managers, and engineering teams.
