We are seeking a senior leader to drive research excellence, programme evaluation, advanced data analytics, and data governance within a complex health and social care environment.
This role provides strategic vision and technical leadership to ensure that policies, programmes, and services are informed by high-quality evidence, rigorous analytics, and strong data governance. The successful candidate will oversee end-to-end research and evaluation, guide advanced analytics, and establish enterprise-level data governance frameworks while leading and developing high-performing specialist teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesSet strategy and provide leadership across research, programme evaluation, data analytics, and data governance
Lead primary research and evaluation initiatives; serve as PI/Co-I where appropriate
Ensure compliance with research ethics and regulatory requirements (e.g. HBRA)
Guide rigorous, defensible analytics and the translation of insights for senior decision-makers
Establish and implement organization-wide data governance and data strategy
Build strong partnerships with government agencies, academia, and sector stakeholders
Recruit, mentor, and lead multidisciplinary teams of researchers and data professionals
Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. public health, health services research, economics, epidemiology, gerontology); PhD preferred
10 years of hands-on research experience, including publications and applied analytics with 6 years in senior leadership roles managing technical teams
Strong expertise in quantitative and qualitative methods, statistics/econometrics, and the end-to-end data lifecycle
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate in complex, multi-agency environments
