Job Description

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Head of Corporate Services is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight of the organisation's corporate functions, with particular focus on Finance, Human Resources, and related support services.

Key accountabilities include:

Finance & Grants

  • Oversee all financial processes including budgeting, accounting, reporting, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Enhance finance and accounting processes, ensuring effective internal controls and safeguards for revenue, expenditure, and asset management.
  • Manage and coordinate audits (annual, programme, and grant-related) in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Secure, manage, and ensure full utilisation of grants, including responsibility for ATO status, course funding, and accreditations.
  • Support group consolidation and provide financial analysis and reports to inform leadership decisions.

Human Resources

  • Lead the full spectrum of HR functions, including policy development, performance management, employee relations, compensation, and benefits.
  • Develop and implement forward-looking HR strategies to attract, develop, and retain talent.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategies with organisational goals in staffing, recruitment, and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, while keeping abreast of HR trends, best practices, and technologies.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to the team to deliver high-quality and timely advisory support to the organisation.
  • Oversee disciplinary processes, grievance management, and terminations in line with company policy.

Corporate Services & Administration

  • Review and manage IT services and digitalisation initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain effective systems for inventory and asset management.
  • Manage office lease, facilities, and vendor relationships to ensure a conducive and cost-efficient work environment.
  • Establish and monitor departmental budgets for Corporate Services, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and accounting.
  • Strong and proven HR leader with strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills to effectively communicate with senior colleagues in the organisation.
  • Knowledge in HR Audit, compensation and benefits design, policy and process setting or re-design.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Analytic, organisation and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, board or other partners.
