Head of Compliance

Key Responsibilities

• Build and implement a robust, group-wide policy management framework
• Conduct end-to-end policy reviews, rationalisation, and gap analysis
• Develop a forward-looking regulatory horizon scanning capability
• Establish a structured regulatory universe linking laws to business processes and controls
• Embed automated controls into business workflows in partnership with IT
• Drive digitisation of compliance processes, eliminating manual inefficiencies
• Implement a digital GRC ecosystem, including policy portals and intelligent tools to enhance accessibility and usability
• Build compliance analytics capabilities to detect fraud, risk patterns, and anomalies
• Define and track key risk indicators (KRIs) with automated reporting
• Develop dashboards and real-time reporting tools to enhance visibility and decision-making
• Drive behavioural change through practical, role-based compliance training
• Embed a strong culture of integrity across high-risk areas, particularly in commercial and procurement activities

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of experience in Compliance, Legal, or Regulatory Risk
• Experience in high-volume, operational environments a must (e.g., retail, FMCG, or similar)
• Proven track record in compliance transformation and GRC implementation (e.g., ServiceNow, Archer, Diligent)
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance business needs with regulatory requirements
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across complex, matrixed environments
