Job Summary:
We are seeking a visionary and technically hands-on Head of Cloud and Platform to lead the design, development, and operations of our cloud infrastructure and platform services. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in cloud-native development, Terraform for infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD pipeline automation, with a proven track record of building scalable, secure, and efficient cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Cloud and Platform Engineering team, setting the technical strategy and vision aligned with business goals.
- Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud platforms using Terraform and modern infrastructure-as-code principles.
- Own and drive the CI/CD strategy, ensuring fast, safe, and frequent deployment pipelines across environments.
- Partner with development and DevOps teams to support cloud-native application delivery.
- Champion automation, observability, and platform reliability across infrastructure.
- Manage cloud cost optimization and governance in multi-cloud or hybrid environments.
- Drive technical architecture and platform standardization to enable agile development practices.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and best practices in cloud, DevOps, and infrastructure engineering.
Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software development and infrastructure engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, AWS/Azure/GCP, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Proven background in software development using languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
- Expert knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, CircleCI) and pipeline automation.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with DevSecOps, monitoring, logging, and incident response best practices.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with platform engineering, internal developer platforms (IDPs), or platform-as-a-product approaches.
- Certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP architecture or DevOps.
