Overview
Lions Befrienders Service Association (Singapore) is a nationally respected organization dedicated to ensuring that all seniors can age well at home, supported holistically.
We are seeking a Head of Clinical Affairs (Social Work-Led Integrated Community Care) on a part-time basis.
It is a senior professional leadership position for a highly respected social work leader who can provide practice authority, ethical clarity, and systems leadership across integrated community care services. This is not an operational casework role.
Responsibilities
. Provide professional leadership across social work and case management
. Set and uphold practice standards, ethics, and safeguarding frameworks
. Guide the organization's integrated community care model, ensuring care is holistic, dignified, and person-centred
. Support teams managing complex, high-risk, and emotionally demanding cases
. Bring a social work lens to population health and prevention, ensuring no senior is reduced to a diagnosis or transaction
Requirements
. Degree or postgraduate qualification in Social Work or related field
. Minimum 15 years of relevant social service experience including 5 years in leadership or management responsibility, set direction, and manage services
. Guide the organization's integrated community care model, ensuring care is holistic, dignified, and person-centred
. Previous practice experience in casework, counselling, or community work
. Strong people leadership and partnership-building skills
What makes this opportunity distinctive is that social work is positioned as the integrative backbone of care, not an adjunct to medical models.
The role affirms social work's central place in shaping humane, equitable systems for an ageing society.
This opportunity would suit a seasoned social work leader - possibly at a stage where legacy, contribution, and professional stewardship matter more than title.
