About the role:

• The role of the Head of Technology and Commercialization is to translate the clients strategic agreement with its client, for a given Pilot Project into a comprehensive operational plan, including risk assessment.
• The Head of Technology and Commercialization will lead the operational execution and oversees the planning, costs and resources in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
• This is in addition to the management and responsibility to oversee the development of chemical marking systems,readers and digitalplatform, including all research, preparation and execution of all R&D experiments and trials, both internally & externally with subcontractors and clients.
• In this role,the Head of Technology and Commercialization worksclosely with the R&Dteams to align on project plans, to develop and commercialize a cohesive tech application and solution.
• As well as manage projectteams, escalate issuesand provide regularreports and updatesto stakeholders and management.

Responsibilities:

Leadership of Plastic Tech Development

• Lead the development and execute the commercialisation of clients polymeric technology from proof-of-concept (POC) to full industrial roll-out.
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive library of markers/codes for polymeric applications within clients strategic portfolio.
• Formulate and optimise markers/codes for polymeric applications to meet performance, cost, and regulatory targets.
• Study and understand materialcharacteristics & processing methods across relevant industries and chemistry fields to inform solution design.
• Develop quick POCs to showcasesolutions for concept demonstrations and client validation.
• Takes full ownership and responsibility for the successand execution of the Singapore Plastic Circularity Project.
• Actively establish a commercial model and network with the objective to scale it up for commercialization.

Global ProjectReplication & FrequentTravel

• Takes full ownership and responsibility to replicate and scale the Plastic Circularity Projectin different regions.
• Maintain a high level ofinternational travel readiness, with no delegation of critical travel responsibilities without prior written approval.

Supply Chain Creation,Development & Management

• Establish and manage the full supplychain of markers,raw materials, and solution providers to support global deployment of clients plastic solutions.
• Ensure supplier quality, cost-efficiency, and compliance with all relevant consumer, production, industrial, workplace health& safety, environmental and country/region regulations and standards.

Operational & Commercial Execution

• Create and develop integrated project plans (scope,timeline, resources, cost, and risk) for all assigned projects.
• Oversee a fully functioning R&D laboratory, including literature research, equipment procurement, logistics, and development of lab work processes.
• Prepare all internal and external documentation, including technical reports,operational manuals, and funding proposals.

Stakeholder & Client Engagement

• Prepare and deliver demonstrations of clients technology on demand to stakeholders and potential clients.

Team Leadership

• Train, mentor,and supervise subordinates, monitoring progress againstdefined work plans and KPIs.

Experience:

• Experience leadingcross functional project teams in a complex, international and multicultural environment.
• Experiencein material application as an engineer/ researcher with the appropriate background to manage R&D and pilot projects.
• Experience in the abilityto commercialise &/ornew solutions or tech applications.
• Experience operating a P&L unit &/or was responsible for a P&L unit.
• Industrial experience in manufacturing &/orsupply chain.
• Knowledge in chemistry, material science as well as manufacturing processes.
• Experience with MicrosoftOffice (Excel, Word,PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of Health,Environmental and Safety Regulations.
• Highly competentin writing technical reports, management reports,reports to clientsand proposals for pilot projects and tech commercialisation.
• PhD in Plastics/Engineering or related sciences discipline with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Or Mastersdegree with 11 years of relevant experience or a Bachelors degree with 14 years of relevant experience.
• Willing to travel extensively and work excessflexible hours when required due to time zone differences.
