Our client is a fast-growing asset management firm offering investment and advisory services to institutional investors, including public and private funds, SWFs and financial institutions. The platform offers access to private market investment solutions across real estate (fund in deployment), Infrastructure funds (fundraisingstage) and corporate credit.
This is a newly created leadership, people manager role based in Singapore. The Head Legal and Compliance will be someone who sets up frameworks, structures from scratch while managing regulatory engagement with compliance and work closely with a world-class investment teams. You will advise management on fund formation, SMA Structuring, JV, product documentation across multiple jurisdictions.
Requirements:
- 15-20 PQE (Common Law SG, HK, UK, Australia) in legal and compliance roles within asset management, private markets or with FIs
- Experience with a licensed fund manager (MAS, CMS, SFC, FCA) or global alternatives firms familiarity with MIFID, US Private placement frameworks
- Sound track record advising on fund structuring, cross-border distribution, product governance
- Lead regulatory engagement and licensing processes with MAS and relevant regulators
- Capability building a lean functioning team
- Strong verbal, written communication skills and proactive analytical abilities
