Job Description

Our client is a maritime technology company and currently, they are searching for Head, Commercial, who is a dynamic and results-driven Sales /Business Development professional to drive revenue and market expansion for company digital solutions to support the seafarers and crews for their health, welfare and finance considerations.

SUMMARY OF JOB CONTENTS

This role will include sales channel management and partnerships for growth. This role is focused on advancing human sustainability across the Maritime sector and adjacent industries.

The position will be based in Singapore.

JOB DIMENSION (SCOPE)

SALES

1. Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive sales growth across core wellness and telehealth offerings
  • Own revenue targets, forecasting, and territory planning
  • Lead pricing, margin planning, and proposal strategy
  • Collaborate with leadership to align sales performance with business goals

2. Contracting & Negotiation

  • Lead commercial discussions from proposal through to contract closure
  • Negotiate large-scale B2B deals, MSAs, and partnership agreements
  • Ensure favourable terms aligned with business risk and value delivery

3. Hands-On Deal Ownership

  • Lead high-value enterprise deals from outreach to closure
  • Engage stakeholders in solution selling and needs discovery
  • Build and maintain a portfolio of target accounts with active engagement plans
  • Serve as the face of company in key sales conversations, ensuring strong brand positioning
  • Ensure to support pipeline velocity and close critical revenue gaps

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

1. Client Retention & Expansion

  • Manage key client relationships post-sale to ensure retention and growth
  • Build strong connections with decision-makers and stakeholders
  • Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) to showcase value and identify upsell opportunities
  • Proactively identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across wellness, telehealth, and safety offerings
  • Ensure commercial value is consistently communicated and realized by the client
  • Track renewal timelines and contract risks

2. Customer Success Alignment

  • Partner closely with customer success, clinical, and delivery teams to ensure clients receive promised outcomes
  • Resolve escalations swiftly, maintaining a high bar for responsiveness and accountability
  • Use client feedback and usage trends to drive improvements in product, delivery, or support
  • Monitor client health metrics (usage, satisfaction, NPS) to predict risks and guide expansion planning
  • Ensure service SLAs, reporting commitments, and onboarding plans are met across all accounts

3. Executive Relationship Management

  • Build long-term partnerships based on trust, strategic alignment, and business impact
  • Support strategic renewal and expansion discussions with customized proposals and growth roadmaps
  • Represent the voice of the client internally to influence product direction and service design

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

1. New Client Acquisition

  • Identify and convert high-value B2B opportunities in maritime,
  • industrial, and remote workforce sectors
  • Lead outbound prospecting, referral development, and inbound conversion
  • Tailor pitches and outreach for enterprise and strategic accounts

2. Channel & Partner Development

  • Build and manage strategic sales partnerships and channel programs
  • Develop joint GTM strategies with partners across regions or verticals
  • Track partner performance and expand reach through co-branded initiatives

3. Industry & Market Engagement

  • Represent company at industry events, trade shows, and client showcases
  • Lead product presentations and positioning efforts to enhance brand visibility
  • Establish thought leadership and presence in wellness and telehealth sectors

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Safety, or a related field; MBA or COC (Certificate of Competency)/Seafarer qualification is a plus
  • Strong understanding of technology-driven solutions and ability to articulate technical value to clients across sectors telehealth, wellness, safety tech, and fintech
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong pipeline management and follow-up capabilities
  • Comfortable working across time zones and in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sales, business development, or client-facing roles, preferably in Maritime, Oil & Gas, Industrial Tech, or Safety, Wellness, Fintech, or Telehealth sectors
  • Proven track record in new client acquisition, account management, and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience engaging senior stakeholders and building long-term relationships
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making to support sales performance
