Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Head Chef to lead and oversee all kitchen operations of the company. The Head Chef will be responsible for menu development, kitchen management, food quality assurance, manpower supervision, inventory control, cost management, and maintaining high operational and hygiene standards across daily operations.

The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary knowledge, and the ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently in a fast-paced F&B environment.

Key Responsibilities

Kitchen Operations Management

  • Oversee and manage daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Ensure all food preparation and presentation meet the company's quality and consistency standards.
  • Monitor food production processes and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore food safety and sanitation regulations.

Menu Development & Culinary Management

  • Develop and design new menu items, seasonal promotions, and specialty dishes.
  • Standardize recipes and food preparation procedures across operations.
  • Monitor food quality, taste consistency, and plating presentation.
  • Introduce cost-effective and innovative culinary concepts to improve profitability and customer satisfaction.

Team Leadership & Training

  • Lead, supervise, and manage kitchen staff including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants.
  • Conduct staff training on food preparation techniques, SOPs, hygiene standards, and kitchen safety procedures.
  • Prepare kitchen duty rosters and manpower planning to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Maintain discipline, teamwork, and productivity within the kitchen team.

Inventory & Cost Control

  • Monitor inventory levels and oversee procurement of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
  • Manage food cost, wastage control, and stock rotation practices.
  • Work closely with suppliers and management on purchasing and budgeting.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of all food products.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with NEA, SFA, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Maintain proper kitchen hygiene and cleanliness standards at all times.
  • Conduct regular checks on equipment maintenance and kitchen safety practices.
