Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking activities.
- Plan, review, and update menus to ensure quality and consistency.
- Monitor and control food and labour costs according to approved budgets.
- Recruit, train, and schedule kitchen staff based on operational needs.
- Ensure adherence to standard recipes, portion control, and food presentation guidelines.
- Provide guidance, support, and training to improve team performance.
- Oversee kitchen equipment maintenance and coordinate purchases when required.
- Perform administrative and operational tasks related to kitchen management.
- Undertake any other duties assigned as part of business operations.
Requirements:
- Diploma or equivalent qualification, with at least 10 years of relevant culinary experience in a full-service kitchen.
- Valid food hygiene and safety certification.
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage and respond to team members constructively.
