Guidance Officer Woodlands

Working hour

• Mondays to Fridays: 7 am to 3 pm

Key Roles

• Monitor students during morning playground duty and late-comers at the gate.

• Supervise students on In-House Recess Detention across all recess periods.

• Conduct fact-finding interviews, obtain statements, compile incident reports, update case notes, and prepare for case reviews.

• Monitor dismissal, patrol school and community areas, and engage students needing support.

• Supervise students at the playground, basketball court, and After-School Detention.

• Manage students on suspension/detention apply restorative practices and guide positive behaviour.

• Conduct proactive patrolling during recess, arrival, and dismissal.

• Follow up with form teachers on students who miss scheduled sessions.

• Build positive relationships through mentoring, check-ins, and SEL support.

• Design and implement SEL modules for students on detention/suspension.

• Provide in-class support to observe and guide targeted students.

• Perform data entry for late-comers, offences, and interventions compile discipline statistics.

• Maintain accurate case notes and conduct regular case reviews with HOD.

• Review detention, late-coming, and corrective work processes.

• Maintain strict confidentiality of student information.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Preferably 3 years relevant experience.

• Preferably a degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, Early Childhood Education, or Child/Adolescent Development.

• Must be MOE-registered.
