Guidance Officer

Job Description

• Monitor and supervise students under in-house suspension, reintegration programmes and reflection sessions.
• Guide students in improving behaviour through restorative practices.
• Assist with preliminary investigations, student interviews and incident reports.
• Engage, mentor and provide social-emotional support to at-risk students.
• Conduct regular student check-ins and pro activeschool patrolling.
• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding students behaviour and progress.
• Maintain student case records, monitor progress and prepare reports.
• Coordinate referrals to external agencies when additional support is required.
• Develop and conduct Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) programmes.
• Provide in-class support and guidance to targeted students.
• Handle administrative tasks, including data entry and discipline statistics.
• Maintain confidentiality of all student information

Requirements

• Must be MOE-registered by the ITQ closing date.
• Background in uniformed services or Ministry ofSocial and Family Development (e.g. Police, Prison Service or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with at-riskyouths.
• Experience in educational, community or correctional settings primary school experience is an advantage.
