Job Description

JJ Consulting Services is a recruitment firm partnering with multinational companies expanding in Asia. Our consultants bring deep industry and functional expertise, delivering top professional and staffing solutions to clients and candidates. Our client, a luxury 5-star city-centre hotel in Singapore, seeks a Guest Relations Officer to enhance guest experiences, manage front office operations, and maximize room revenue through effective service and up-selling.

Responsibilities

  • Assist guests with check-in, check-out, and cashiering duties to ensure smooth and efficient front desk operations
  • Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, manage registration, and issue room keys according to hotel standards
  • Resolve guest requests and feedback promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels
  • Manage guests mail, messages, and phone calls courteously and efficiently
  • Maximize room revenue by up-selling and securing optimal rates for walk-in guests
  • Support and guide Guest Relations Assistants to maintain seamless Front Office operations
  • Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of the Front Desk and surrounding areas
  • Enforce compliance with hotel policies, guest privacy, safety, and security procedures at all times
  • Adhere strictly to Credit Card Privacy (PCI) and Cash Float Standard Operating Procedures
  • Execute related duties or special projects assigned by the Front Office leadership team

Required competencies and certifications

  • Minimum GCE A Level or equivalent education
  • Minimum 2 years of hotel Front Office experience
  • Proficient in Windows, Internet Explorer, and Word applications
  • Technical knowledge of Front Office operations
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • University degree preferred
  • Knowledge of Opera, POS, or PMS systems advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills demonstrated through guest interactions
  • Ability to work independently under pressure while maintaining teamwork and adapting to multicultural guest needs
