Job Description

Job Summary

Welcome and seat guests, manage reservations and waitlists, handle inquiries, maintain a clean front of house, assist staff coordination, and provide menu information to ensure a smooth and positive dining experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet diners upon arrival, take reservations, and escort guests to their assigned tables to ensure a welcoming start to their visit
  • Monitor and manage the waiting list and assign tables efficiently to maintain smooth guest flow
  • Answer phone calls and respond accurately to customer questions about the menu, specials, and services
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the waiting area and dining room to create a pleasant environment
  • Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate seating and manage wait times for optimal guest satisfaction
  • Inform guests about menu options and introduce them to their designated server to enhance their dining experience
  • Demonstrate a friendly and approachable attitude to foster a warm atmosphere for guests
  • Use strong verbal communication skills to interact effectively with guests and front-of-house team members
  • Organize reservations, waitlists, and guest flow efficiently to support smooth operations
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
  • Support team members cooperatively to contribute to seamless restaurant operations
  • Remain calm and composed during busy periods to ensure consistent service quality
