Job Description

The Group Operations Manager is a hands-on, enabling role responsible for supporting operational improvement initiatives and performance excellence across Spindex's regional manufacturing network.

Based in Singapore, this role requires effective collaboration with site leadership teams, operations, engineering, supply chain, and quality to identify improvement opportunities, support execution, and embed disciplined operating practices. This is a group-level enabler role, not an oversight function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with site leadership and functional teams to identify, prioritise, and deliver operational improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct operational and value-chain analysis, including process flow mapping, capacity, and throughput assessment, to identify performance drivers, constraints, and improvement opportunities.
  • Plan, coordinate, and track site-level improvement programs, milestones, and outcomes.
  • Engage leadership and shop-floor teams to drive problem-solving, ownership, and sustained improvements.
  • Define and track operational KPIs and dashboards (e.g., Power BI) to support visibility, performance management, and data-driven decisions.
  • Apply continuous improvement methods and practical digital tools to improve consistency and scalability of execution across sites.
  • Connect site-level initiatives to group objectives and long-term operational performance improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, operational excellence, or consulting.
  • Experience leading, engaging key stakeholders and supporting operational improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement frameworks preferred.
  • Collaborative and pragmatic leadership style.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin required, need to manage sites in China.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to shape operations across a leading regional precision engineering company.
  • Hands-on group role with exposure to multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Significant responsibility working with senior operations leaders.
  • Mentorship from experienced manufacturing and operational leaders.
  • Collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement.
  • Exposure to group-level operations with potential to take on broader responsibilities over time, subject to business needs and performance.
