About the Opportunity
The Group Financial Controller Group Financial Controller to lead the company's financial reporting function and treasury. An experienced group financial controller or CFO, who knows what a best-in-class financial reporting function requires. The Group Financial Controller will report to the Chief Financial Officer, and work closely with the organisation's executive team, including the Chief Executive Officer.
About the Role
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong technical background with broad financial responsibility for statutory reporting, group financial reporting, treasury, and tax.
- Established international leadership capability with an understanding this role requires working hours across multiple time zones.
- Experience leading an offshore Financial Shared Services function would be preferred.
- Strong educational pedigree. BS or BA in Finance, and MBA and/or CFA is preferred.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- An individual whose professional reputation will command respect and credibility.
- Personal drive, energy, and the ability to work effectively in a hands-on, agile environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to convey a message that is clear and concise, linking business issues, accounting concepts, financial results, and strategy.

Responsibilities:
Private Equity Environment Experience (or Very Close Exposure)
- Comfort with timely and accurate reporting cycles (weekly cash, flash P&Ls)
- Supporting value creation plans (cost-out, margin improvement, growth tracking)
- Preparing Board, Mgmt & CFO packs for business updates
- Experience with exit readiness (data rooms, QoE, vendor due diligence)
- Working in a PE-backed business (or heavy interaction with PE owners)
Group Reporting & Consolidation (Multi-Entity)
- Managing complex group structures (multiple legal entities, jurisdictions)
- Statutory and management consolidation (monthly / quarterly)
- Intercompany accounting, eliminations, transfer pricing awareness
- Multi-currency reporting and FX exposure
- Strong control of month-end close timelines
Offshore / Shared Services Centre Leadership
- Scaling & stabilizing an offshore finance center
- Experience with managing and transition of:Record-to-report AP / AR General Ledger
- Designing SLAs, KPIs, and service quality metrics and driving
- Drive Transition of work from onshore to offshore (knowledge transfer and process management)
- Managing time zone, cultural, and communication challenges
Strong Financial Controls & Governance
- Designing and embedding financial controls frameworks
- SOX or SOX-lite experience (even if not formally required)
- Segregation of duties across onshore/offshore
- Ownership of audit relationships (group and local)
- Remediating control weaknesses fast
Cash, Working Capital & Debt Awareness
- Periodic cash flow forecasting and covenant monitoring
- Managing banking relationships
- Experience with: Revolving credit facilities Interest calculations and compliance
- Driving working capital improvements (DSO, DPO)
Partnering with FP&A
- Partnering with FP&A on forecasts and reforecasts
- Understanding drivers of EBITDA, cash, and KPIs
- Challenging budget owners
Systems & Data Improvement
- Leading ERP implementations or upgrades (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Standardizing charts of accounts and reporting packs
- Improving data quality from offshore teams
- Improving reconciliations and reporting where possible
- Use of Technology and Systems to have efficient processes
Senior Stakeholder Management
- Confident dealing with CxO and PE Mgmt
- Ability to highlight the issues with intent of resolving and process improvement
