Group Financial Controller (Financial Services Background)
We are partnering with a global firm to hire a Group Financial Controller in Singapore to lead the core controllership function across a multi-entity, multi-country setup. This role is focused on ensuring financial integrity, strong governance, and robust reporting across the region. It will suit someone with a strong technical accounting foundation who takes ownership of the numbers and the underlying processes behind them.
Responsibilities:
Financial Control & Reporting
- Oversee month end close, group consolidation, and financial reporting across multiple entities
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and local statutory requirements across jurisdictions
Finance Leadership & Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, supporting strategic decision making and long term planning
- Provide commercial insights on performance, risks, and opportunities across the region
Cash Flow & Treasury Oversight
- Manage liquidity, cash flow forecasting, and capital allocation across the business
- Support funding strategies and monitor FX exposure where relevant
Governance & Risk
- Strengthen internal controls, policies, and financial governance frameworks
- Lead audits and manage relationships with external auditors and advisors
Process & Transformation
- Drive improvements across reporting, systems, and finance processes
- Support ongoing finance transformation and standardisation initiatives
Strategic Projects
- Partner on key initiatives including investments, restructuring, and cross-border projects
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (CA or CPA) ideally with a Big 4 foundation
- Proven experience in a regional or group-level controllership role within banking, financial services or private equity
- Strong technical accounting background with exposure to treasury, cash flow management, and capital planning
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a hands-on approach
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership
