As a Group Accountant, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Preparing accurate financial, management, and regulatory reports to support timely decision-making and compliance with SGX requirements.
- Compiling quarterly consolidated financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and SGX listing rules, reflecting investment portfolio performance.
- Reviewing financials of subsidiaries, associates, joint ventures, and investment entities to ensure compliance with reporting and regulatory standards.
- Ensuring precise recording of investment transactions, valuations, and related financial activities.
- Overseeing quarterly GST filings and other statutory submissions.
- Coordinating financial data across investment holdings and resolving queries with relevant stakeholders.
- Identifying, investigating, and reporting financial anomalies, including portfolio valuation discrepancies.
- Assisting in budget preparation, capital allocation planning, and performance tracking of investment portfolios.
- Liaising with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies on financial, tax, and compliance matters.
- Providing variance analysis, investment performance reporting, and management insights.
- Guiding and mentoring junior finance staff in investment-related accounting.
- Supporting finance transformation initiatives, investment reporting enhancements, and other ad-hoc projects.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting/Finance with CPA/CA qualification strong knowledge of SGX listing rules, financial reporting standards, and consolidation.
- Experience in accounting for investments, subsidiaries, associates, and joint ventures, including valuation and performance reporting.
- Strong financial analysis capability with the ability to identify anomalies, prepare variance reports, and liaise effectively with auditors, tax agents, and stakeholders.
