Job Description

Creative Designer (Digital, Print & Video) School Communications & Branding

We are looking for a creative professional who can bring stories, events, and school life to life through compelling visual design. This role offers the opportunity to shape the school's brand presence across digital platforms, print publications, and key publicity touchpoints.

As a core member of the school's publicity function, you will collaborate closely with the communications team to transform ideas into impactful visuals that resonate with students, staff, and the wider community.

What You Will Work On

1. Digital & Print Publications

  • School Newsletter: Design and lay out semestral digital/print newsletters with strong visual hierarchy, readability, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Social Media Content: Create static visuals, graphics, collages, and reusable templates to elevate our online presence.
  • School Website Assets:

Web banners, hero images, and other on-brand UI visuals

Custom icons, infographics, and graphic elements

Page layout mock-ups that guide user-friendly web development

  • Video Content & Reels: Edit and produce short-form videos, reels, event highlights, and dynamic motion-graphic assets. Work includes videography/photography, text overlays, sound mixing, and maintaining a cohesive visual style.

2. Corporate Collaterals & Branding

  • Event Collaterals: Design banners, large-format signage, and visual communications for school-wide events.
  • Souvenirs & Mementos: Conceptualise and design certificates, trophies, plaques, and commemorative items.
  • Promotional Items: Develop designs for postcards, T-shirts, tote bags, lanyards, and other branded items that reinforce school identity and culture.

3. Illustration

  • Custom Artwork: Produce original illustrations for campaigns, publications, teaching materials, and digital assets. Ability to express school values and narratives through a unique, adaptable illustration style is essential.

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on design experience, supported by a strong portfolio across both digital and print mediums
  • Proficiency in layout design, typography, photo editing, and video editing
  • Ability to create engaging short-form videos and basic motion graphics
  • Strong illustration capabilities with a recognisable style and adaptability
  • High attention to detail and consistency within established brand systems
  • Strong communication skills to translate requirements, present concepts, and incorporate feedback
  • Prior experience designing media assets for schools or education environments is an advantage
