Cloud Security & DevSecOps Engineer
Overview
We are seeking a Cloud Security & DevSecOps Engineer to support digital transformation initiatives by designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and DevSecOps practices.
This role focuses on building resilient multi-cloud environments, embedding security into development pipelines, and ensuring systems align with industry and regulatory standards, including IM8 where applicable.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture & Engineering
- Design, implement, and refine cloud architectures, solutions, and roadmaps
- Establish architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices for cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Support multi-cloud deployments and platform integration
DevSecOps & CI/CD
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines based on industry best practices
- Integrate security controls into development workflows and automation pipelines
- Define strategies for application deployment and infrastructure maintenance
Cloud Operations & Reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across cloud infrastructure
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
- Manage capacity planning, replication strategies, and system performance
- Support microservices-based environments across development, staging, and production
Security & Compliance
- Embed security controls across infrastructure, platforms, and applications
- Ensure systems comply with security standards and frameworks (e.g., IM8 and equivalent guidelines where applicable)
- Support governance, risk, and compliance activities including security assessments, audits, and remediation
- Provide support during security incidents and contribute to continuous improvement
Infrastructure Management
- Maintain both cloud and security infrastructure environments
- Perform system tuning, upgrades, and resource optimisation (CPU, memory, storage)
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in IT systems delivery, with strong exposure to cloud environments
- Professional certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS or equivalent)
Technical Skills
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking (VPC, load balancing, DNS, security groups, etc.)
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus)
- Experience securing and hardening Windows and Linux systems
- Familiarity with security technologies such as encryption, endpoint protection, SIEM, WAF, IDS/IPS, and file integrity monitoring
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools)
Nice to Have
- Experience with Azure cloud platform and multi-cloud environments
- Exposure to AI-related cloud services
- Familiarity with government or regulated environment standards such as IM8
