About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and execution-driven Government Affairs / Public Affairs professional to join our Singapore team.

This role focuses on hands-on execution and coordination of government partnership and funding programs that support our company's growth in the technology and AI sectors.

The ideal candidate has direct experience working with Singapore government agencies such as EDB, IMDA, MTI, or A*STAR, and is confident managing program documentation, cross-department coordination, and compliance reporting.

You will act as a key bridge between the company and the public sector helping to implement government-related initiatives effectively and strengthen long-term institutional relationships.

Key Responsibilities

1. Government Partnership & Program Execution

  • Manage and support company participation in government programs and incentives (e.g., EDB partnerships, IMDA innovation schemes, or A*STAR collaborations).
  • Coordinate and track project documentation, deliverables, and reporting requirements to ensure compliance with government guidelines.
  • Serve as the main liaison between the company and government officers for project updates and progress reports.
  • Identify and manage timelines, budgets, and KPIs for government-funded or co-supported initiatives.

2. Relations & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong, constructive relationships with relevant government agencies, industry associations, and key stakeholders.
  • Support regular meetings, workshops, and engagement sessions with public sector partners.
  • Develop a clear understanding of agency priorities and ensure company initiatives align with national innovation and digital transformation goals.
  • Coordinate internal communication to ensure teams are informed of relevant policies, grants, or partnership opportunities.

3. Strategic Communications & Support

  • Work with Corporate Communications to ensure consistent messaging and alignment in public affairs activities.
  • Prepare briefings, presentation decks, and summary reports for leadership regarding ongoing or upcoming government initiatives.
  • Support event coordination, public statements, and partnership announcements when required.

4. Program Reporting & Measurement

  • Maintain an updated tracker of all government collaborations and project deliverable.
  • Prepare periodic updates and reports for senior management summarizing project status, outcomes, and next steps.
  • Support internal audit and documentation processes related to government funding or incentive programs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred but not mandatory.
  • Singapore PR & Citizen only.

Experience

  • Minimum 23 years of hands-on experience in government affairs, public affairs, or project execution involving Singapore government agencies.
  • Demonstrated experience working with or supporting programs from EDB, IMDA, MTI, or A*STAR is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record in executing and reporting on government-funded projects or corporate partnership initiatives.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong project management and coordination skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Familiarity with Singapore's innovation and enterprise ecosystem.
  • Able to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
  • High integrity, adaptability, and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
