Job Description

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer / SDET to support a 3-month project focused on automated functional and API testing across web, mobile and desktop applications.

The role will be responsible for developing and executing automated test suites, identifying and troubleshooting defects, and helping ensure product quality across the development lifecycle.

Candidates who are available to start at short notice will be prioritised.

The Role

Design, develop and execute automated functional and regression test suites
Create and maintain automated test scripts using BDD, Cucumber and Gherkin
Perform API testing using Postman and other relevant tools
Troubleshoot automated test failures, application defects and other technical issues
Develop and execute performance/load testing scripts
Support application security/penetration testing using tools such as Burp Suite or similar
Identify testing risks, gaps and potential quality issues across web, mobile and desktop platforms
Work closely with SDETs, architects, technical leads and Agile development teams
Document test processes, results, defects and quality requirements
Support continuous improvement of testing frameworks, methodologies and automation practices

Your Profile:

6+ years experience in QA Automation, SDET or a similar testing role.
Strong hands-on experience with test automation and regression testing.
Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript and/or Python.
Experience with BDD, Cucumber and Gherkin.
Solid experience with API testing, particularly using Postman.
Experience with performance/load testing and test automation.
Familiarity with application security or penetration testing tools such as Burp Suite, Netsparker or similar.
Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Git and Jenkins.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with excellent attention to detail.
Fluent Mandarin and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
Available to start at short notice for a 3-month contract
