Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Global Transportation Manager to join our team in Singapore. In this role, you will oversee global transportation operations, optimize logistics networks, and ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant delivery of goods across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement global transportation strategies aligned with business objectives
- Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners
- Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and cost efficiency
- Monitor transportation KPIs, analyze performance data, and implement process improvements
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs, and safety standards
- Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, and operations teams to streamline logistics processes
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize transportation routes, modes, and costs
- Prepare reports, forecasts, and presentations for senior management on transportation performance
- Manage transportation budgets and contracts to maximize efficiency and reduce costs
Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in transportation management, logistics, or supply chain operations
- Proven experience managing global transportation and multi-modal logistics operations
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and ERP systems
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities
- Fluency in English; familiarity with Singapore/SEA logistics environment is an advantage
