Global Trade & Pricing Specialist
Salary: $2500 - $2800
Working Days: Mon - Fri (9am - 6pm)
Working Location: Telok Ayer
Responsibilities
IOR/EOR Operations & Documentation:
- Assist in pricing, coordinating and managing the end-to-end IOR/EOR process for global shipments.
- Coordinate with customers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to facilitate smooth clearance and delivery of goods.
- Verify shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain accurate and organised records of all shipments, customs entries, and compliance-related documentation.
- Assist with the preparation of import/export permits, declarations, and other required trade documents.
Agent Communication, Sourcing & Pricing:
- Collaborate with agents to gather required information and ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Support pricing discussions and negotiations with partners to achieve competitive and sustainable rates.
- Identify and source new overseas agents or service partners when required to support operational and pricing needs.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with existing and new partners.
Regulatory Trade & Compliance:
- Stay updated on customs regulations and trade policies in various countries.
- Ensure all shipments comply with relevant import/export laws and guidelines.
Problem Resolution & Ad-hoc:
- Identify and resolve operational issues, such as shipment delays, missing documents, or customs holds.
- Escalate critical issues to the relevant department as needed.
- Provide general administrative support to the operations team as required.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 1 - 2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or trade operations.
- Familiarity with IOR/EOR processes and international trade regulations is a plus.
- With knowledge of APAC trade regulations is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
