My client produces and supplies datastorage solutions for global markets. They are hiring a Global Sourcing Manager who will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's global supply base across electronics, mechanical components, and contract manufacturing. You will drive strategic sourcing, risk management, supplier innovation, and cost optimisation across a multibilliondollar value chain.
Your new role
- Develop and maintain global commodity strategies and longterm sourcing roadmaps
- Lead supplier selection,RFP/RFQ processes, and longterm agreement negotiations
- Drive supplier segmentation, quarterly business reviews, and performance improvement plans
- Achieve measurable savings through cost reduction, cost avoidance, and productivity targets
- Identify and mitigate supply continuity, capacity, and compliance risks
- Partner with Engineering and R&D to drive supplierenabled innovation and designtocost initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
- At least a Bachelor's degree (Supply Chain/Business/Engineering); with 8+ years in sourcing or supplier management.
- Working experience in the semiconductor or storage industry.
- Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, and global supplier negotiations.
- Advanced skills in contracting, cost modelling, analytics, and market intelligence.
- Proven ability to build and manage executivelevel supplier relationships across global or multisite environments.
- Ability to take occasional evening calls
