About the team Global Legal operates in a fast-moving technology environment where the scale and complexity of legal work continues to grow. Advances in AI present significant opportunities to improve how legal teams work from knowledge access and document analysis to workflow automation and productivity. We are looking for an AI Legal Operations Lead to define and lead the AI strategy for Legal Operations and the Global Legal function. This role will identify high-impact opportunities to apply AI across legal workflows, evaluate and select appropriate internal and external AI tools, and oversee the implementation of AI-enabled capabilities across the Legal organization. The role will work closely with Legal leadership, Legal Technology, and internal engineering and AI teams to ensure solutions align with broader company technology strategy while addressing the specific needs of the Legal function. This is a strategic and hands-on role focused on building the long-term AI capability for Global Legal. - Define and lead the AI Legal Operations strategy, identifying where AI can most effectively improve legal workflows and operational efficiency. - Identify, prioritize, and develop high-impact AI use cases across the legal function. - Evaluate and select internal and external AI tools for legal workflows, ensuring alignment with company technology standards and legal requirements. - Partner with Legal Technology and Process teams to integrate AI capabilities into legal systems and workflows. - Lead experimentation and pilot programs for emerging AI technologies and scale successful solutions across legal teams. - Establish governance and best practices for responsible AI use within the Legal function. - Develop guidance and training to support effective adoption of AI tools across Global Legal. - Track developments in AI and legal technology and identify opportunities to improve legal operations.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - 5 years of experience in operations, legal operations, technology operations, product operations, or consulting roles - Demonstrated experience evaluating and implementing technology solutions in complex organizations - Experience working on AI, automation, or advanced workflow technologies - Ability to identify operational problems and translate them into scalable technology or workflow solutions - Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams Preferred Qualifications - Experience in legal operations, legal technology, or working closely with legal teams - Experience evaluating or implementing generative AI tools, machine learning platforms, or AI-enabled workflow systems - Familiarity with enterprise AI governance, data privacy, and responsible AI practices - Experience in a technology company or high-growth environment - Experience partnering with engineering, product, or data teams - Background in consulting, product management, operations strategy, or legal innovation - Experience designing process improvements or operational transformation initiatives
