As an Associate in our Singapore-based Investment Banking team within the Financial Institutions Group (FIG), you will play a key role in business origination and transaction execution across investment banking products, including M&A advisory and equity and debt capital markets. You will participate in the full transaction lifecycle, from preparing marketing materials and performing financial analysis to drafting internal committee memoranda and delivering client presentations.
You will work closely with senior bankers and take ownership of key execution workstreams, including coordinating analysts and junior team members, to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients. You will also partner with internal stakeholders and external advisors to help identify, escalate, and manage key risks throughout the deal process. You will join the global Associate class in the Investment Banking team in Singapore and work as part of a broader regional team of Analysts and Associates. The role may involve regional travel in support of client coverage and live transactions.
Job Responsibilities
. Partner with senior bankers to originate, structure, and execute financing and advisory transactions across FIG, including M&A, IPOs, equity offerings, bonds, loans, and other capital solutions as applicable
. Develop clear, impactful marketing and execution materials (e.g., pitchbooks, information memoranda, management presentations, internal committee materials)
. Build and review financial models and perform detailed valuation and financial analysis for pitches and live mandates
. Drive day-to-day execution processes by managing timelines, diligence workstreams, data requests, and deliverables identify and escalate risks and issues appropriately
. Guide, review, and coordinate the analytical work of Analysts and junior bankers to progress marketing and execution processes efficiently
. Liaise with internal and external parties on transactions (e.g., lawyers, accountants, counterparties, regulatory and other stakeholders as relevant)
. Support senior bankers in client negotiations, diligence/Q&A, and management meetings own and deliver assigned workstreams end-to-end
. Provide leadership and mentorship through coaching, training, and feedback for junior bankers and analysts
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, or a related field strong academic record
. Minimum 3 years of experience in an investment banking front office role
. Financial Institutions Group (FIG) sector coverage experience in investment banking
. Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
. Solid understanding of the transaction lifecycle execution-oriented with strong ownership and accountability
. Impeccable attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills able to interact effectively with senior professionals, clients, and internal stakeholders
. Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
